Use Your PayPal Account
You may use PayPal to accept credit cards for your services and products. There is no additional fee for processing credit cards through PayPal from Octomize. This function is included in the Octomize appointment scheduler service.
PayPal offers two account types: Website Payments Standard and Website Payments Pro. Octomize supports both types of accounts. A brief highlight of the two accounts is decribed below.
After you determine the PayPal account type you wish to use, you can enter your PayPal settings in the Octomize Administration PayPal area.
First you will choose either Option A or Option B as shown here. After selection either Option A or Option B and clicking on the Continue button you will be guided to enter your PayPal account information and asked to test the link.
Octomize helps you process your PayPal transactions and does not handle or manage any of your funds.
PayPal Option A: Website Payments Standard
This option is the simplest to set up and does not require any PayPal additional fees. The downside is it relies on your customer clicking on the return button on the PayPal website to complete the order. We have implemented some very clever checks to see if your customer may have missed completing the order.
An notification email will be sent to you so you may complete the order on behalf of your customer, should they not complete the order. We have been working with PayPal to get them to change their process so it will be automatic.
The Website Payments Pro is fully automated, but there is some more work with PayPal to have the account and just a little more effort to integrate the account with Octomize.
To setup the Website Payments Standard you select the checkbox (A) to activate the option and enter your PayPal account email (B).
Select the Test PayPal Link (D) and you will be given the option to test.
Your PayPal Account will be activated with a fake order. This is what your customers will see when they purchase an item from you.
PayPal Option B: Website Payments Pro
After you receive your Website Payments Pro account ( it takes a few days and you will be paying PayPal a monthly fee, but the rates are better ), you will need to enter the information in the Octomize Administration PayPal area as shown here.
