BlackBerry Calendar Synchronization

The BlackBerry Octomize online scheduler calendar synchronization application allows you to manage your business and personal time from the convenience of your "virtual" BlackBerry office.

Download and install this application so you can view your customer appointments at any time.

You can create business and personal appointments on the BlackBerry Calendar and synchronize to your Octomize web calendar. These new appointments will reserve that time to prevent double booking.

This application requires the RIM BlackBerry OS 5.0 operating system or greater. Use these links to see if you phone meets the requirement.

To install the Octomize Sync Application on your BlackBerry you can either

  • Open a browser on your BlackBerry and enter

    http://www.octomize.com/bb

  • Enter your BlackBerry number in the Octomize Administration BlackBerry Sync page and we will send you a text message with the link.

Octomize Synchronization Application Instructions

Installing and using the online scheduler synchronization program is quick and easy. These are the steps you will follow to install and use your BlackBerry.

First time

Download the application from the above link or your text message link. Follow the installation instructions.

Download the Octomizae Scheduler syncronization application to your BlackBerry

The Octomize Sync application is downloaded and installed in the BlackBerry Download folder. Open the Download folder and click on the Octomize Sync application icon.

Allow the Octomize Scheduler to access phone information

In the Application Permissions screen select the "Do not ask again" checkbox and click on the Allow button.

Enter your Octomize account user e-mail and password. This is the same e-mail and password you used to access this administration.

Click on the Sync Now button. This may take 20 to 40 seconds depending on your phone reception strength.

Daily operation

Enter any new personal or business appointment in the BlackBerry Calendar.

After completing your entries, open the Octomize Sync application and click on the Sync Now button.

Determine BlackBerry OS Version

Depending on the version of the Blackberry OS you have installed on your phone, you may have to go though different menus to get the same options.

If you phone is running version 4.0 or later, you can go to the Options menu and then choose About.

On some Blackberry phones, you have to first go to the Tools and then click on Settings and then About. Either way, you need to get to the About screen to find the OS version.
